The Fulbright Scholars Program is sponsored by the Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. State Department and provides funding for scholars, teachers, and professionals to undertake advanced research and teaching around the world.
Global Programs works with many departments at University Park and across the Commonwealth to offer a variety of on-campus, globally-focused services and intercultural learning opportunities. The goal is to enhance student’s transition and success at any of the Penn State campuses.

In recognition of Penn State’s impactful contributions to cacao and chocolate research — spanning the improvement of the chocolate tree, the social and ecological impacts of cacao cultivation, chocolate manufacturing and marketing, and health benefits — the government of Ecuador presented the University and its College of Agricultural Sciences with a replica of an ancient ceramic vessel.

The J. Jeffrey and Ann Marie Fox Graduate School at Penn State and Penn State Global have announced the awardees for the Fall 2024 Graduate Student International Travel Grants. Of 39 applications, seven were selected for $1,500 grants to assist them in presenting their research at international conferences outside the United States.

Penn State ranks in the top 50 in 19 subject area rankings and in the top 100 in the world in an additional 13 subjects, according to the Academic Ranking of World Universities, which released its 2024 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects on Nov. 11.
