Global Programs and Career Services are joining forces to host the Penn State Global Careers Institute -a professional development program designed to help Penn State’s international and domestic undergraduate and graduate students prepare for career success in the global marketplace.

The Institute Conference will be held on February 28 & 29, 2020 at the Penn Stater Conference Center at University Park campus. Featured speakers will include prominent Penn State alumni from a wide range of business and industry around the world. Students will have the opportunity to network with alumni and speakers throughout the weekend event.

Participation in the Institute is competitive and by application only.

All students invited to participate in the Institute are required to complete online modules prior to attending the February conference.

The Global Mobility Institute includes a suite of online courses comprised of five modules. All participants will be required to take these three online learning modules:

  • Global Careers Institute Orientation
  • Career Resources and Opportunities
  • Resumes and Employment Communications

International students will be required to complete two additional modules:

  • Optional Practical Training (OPT)
  • Curricular Practical Training (CPT

Registration Fee: $20/Overnight lodging provided at Penn Stater for Commonwealth Campus students

Important Dates and Deadlines

Application Deadline: November 15, 2019

Students notified of admission status: December 6, 2019

Online modules will be assigned on January 13, 2020.

Deadline to complete online modules: February 7, 2020.
