IMPORTANT
First-Time Users: If you are logging in to the new GSN system for the first time, you must wait 24 hours after your initial login before creating a travel record. This 24-hour period allows your Penn State profile information to fully synchronize with your new GSN profile. Creating a record before this process is complete may cause incorrect forms to be assigned to you.

Welcome to the Global Safety Network (GSN)
The GSN database is where all University-affiliated international travel should be recorded prior to departure.
Planning Group Travel? Group leaders should first complete a Group Travel Interest Form before submitting a GSN record.
Registration instructions and additional information are provided below on this page.
Note: Travelers participating in an approved Penn State Education Abroad program do not need to create a separate GSN record, as such travel is already recorded in the LionsABROAD portal.
Per the University’s International Travel Safety and Requirements Policy (TR01), all University-affiliated international travel must be documented in the Global Safety Network (GSN) prior to departure. Please submit your travel record at least 30 days before your trip, or as soon as possible if the decision to travel is made less than 30 days before departure.
International Students, Scholars, or Faculty: Please review travel information for your visa type on the International Student and Scholar Advising (ISSA) | Travel page.
Questions? Refer to the GSN Frequently Asked Questions page. For more information, please contact globalsafety@psu.edu or +1-814-863-8788.
