GSN Login Instructions for College of Medicine Travelers

Penn State College of Medicine travelers must follow the instructions below to access the Global Safety Network (GSN).

How to Log In

Penn State Health accounts are not compatible with the GSN's Penn State Single Sign-On (SSO) because Penn State Health profiles are not connected to Penn State's profile database.

As a College of Medicine traveler, you must use an external account to log in to the GSN. Please follow these steps:

Create an External Account.

First, create an external account in the GSN system: Create a User Account.

Log In Using the External Account.

After creating your account, go to https://pennstate.via-trm.com/ and select: “If you do not have a Penn State Global login: Sign In”.



Do not select the “Go to Portal” button.

This button directs you to the Penn State SSO login, which will not work with your Penn State Health account.



Create a GSN record.

Once you have successfully logged in using the external account, you can create and submit your GSN record for your upcoming travel.
