Penn State's Jason Laine, associate teaching professor, College of Liberal Arts, has been recognized for his excellence in education abroad curriculum design by the Forum on Education Abroad. Laine received this award for his undergraduate course, "Italian Language and Culture for Embedded Experiences Abroad,” which uses a co-requisite model with an upper-level Biology course, giving opportunities for STEM students to engage with language and humanities students to engage with the sciences.

Working together, Penn State students Deepa Kadidahl, Laraib Mazhar, Belle Peterson, Seth Wilkinson, Noah Yeagley and Andrew Yeich developed a potential strategy to reduce maternal deaths as part of the 2023 Emory Morningside Global Health Case Competition, which was held in Atlanta on March 18.

Students are now able to self-enroll in Microsoft Authenticator by adding and registering their smartphone or another personal device used to confirm their identity. Enrolling in Microsoft Authenticator for multifactor authentication (MFA) is mandatory for all students, except for those graduating in May. Once enrolled, students will authenticate through Microsoft MFA to access University-affiliated sites and services.
