Leader, Supervisor, & Chaperone Workshops

All Individuals who are leading/supervising/chaperoning student groups traveling internationally must participate in an Emergency Preparedness Workshop prior to traveling.

Group Leaders and chaperones must attend an Emergency Preparedness workshop within two years prior to the return date of their intended travel to stay informed of changing travel conditions and policies.

Please be advised:

  • Prior registration is required. Registrations must be receive 2 days prior to the workshop date. Registrations will not be accepted on a Friday or over the weekend prior to a Monday course to ensure our ability to get any links and/or materials necessary to the participants.
  • All workshops are live streamed to online participants except where otherwise noted. 
  • Faculty and Staff may elect to attend workshops either in person or online if both options are offered.
  • Student Leaders from the commonwealth campuses may attend online, however student leaders at University Park are required to attend in person unless there are no in person options available prior to their departure date.

If your travel departure date falls before the workshop dates listed email the Global Safety Office to set up a time/date to attend prior to your departure.

Additional Workshop dates for Fall 2022 will be posted the last week of July.
