Education Abroad Fair

Each year, Penn State hosts exhibitors from over 50 different study abroad partners, support offices, scholarship sources, and academic colleges to bring students the information they want about education abroad!  Talk with representatives from universities and study centers abroad. Meet advisers from your college that know which courses and locations are best for your major. Talk to the Education Abroad Office staff about the 350+ study abroad programs and how to apply for scholarships. Learn about other support and resources, like going abroad with a disability or how we’re working to increase study abroad participation among students from underrepresented populations.

International Student Welcome (ISW)

Welcome to Penn State! There are three programs required of new incoming international students:

Global Learning and Engagement Week 2022

Join Penn State Global and our partners during Global Learning and Engagement Week (GLEW), formerly Study Abroad Week, to learn all the ways you can take your education overseas! GLEW 2022 will be held January 24 – 28, 2022. The following featured events will be hosted throughout the week to give all students a deeper understanding of all things education abroad. Since the summer and fall 2022 deadlines are quickly approaching, this is the perfect opportunity to learn more about the future of education abroad. From funding opportunities to career enrichment, you’ll learn how to take advantage of the opportunities that study, internships, and research abroad have to offer. With workshops and information sessions for all majors, you can begin planning for your own education abroad experience! Events this year will offer a variety of in-person, hybrid, and virtual settings to help students from across our campuses engage in what global learning has to offer.

International Education Week 2020

International Education Week (IEW) at Penn State is Nov 16-20. Penn State’s Office of Global Programs has a long tradition of hosting events throughout IEW, so that students can participate in multicultural activities and learn more about opportunities for global education at Penn State. This year, with the pandemic, the event will be moving to a virtual platform.

We Are the World

We are the World is an annual cultural showcase event hosted by the International Student Council and supported by Penn State Global. This event will highlight international student cultures and contributions to Penn State and will feature cultural displays, performances, and food. We encourage both international and domestic students to participate in the festivities!
