International Education Week 2020
International Education Week (IEW) at Penn State is Nov 16-20.
Penn State’s Office of Global Programs has a long tradition of hosting events throughout IEW, so that students can participate in multicultural activities and learn more about opportunities for global education at Penn State. This year, with the pandemic, the event will be moving to a virtual platform.
Global Programs, along with other departments on campus, will be hosting virtual events and activities for the Penn State community to participate in throughout the week. All members of the Penn State community, including students, faculty and staff from all campuses should feel welcome and encouraged to participate in the week’s activities.
The IEW schedule of events can be found at the International Education schedule of events.
The week will also provide students with ways to win prizes. By attending an event during IEW, a student’s name is automatically entered for a chance to win a $50 gift card; attending more events means more of a chance to win. The IEW planning committee will be selecting two random daily winners from the attendee lists.
There is also a photo contest: Students can be entered for the chance to win a $25 gift card by submitting a photo showcasing their international experiences to the IEW photo contest, through the International Education Week Photo Contest registration form.
