Welcome to Global Programs, overseen by the Vice Provost for Global Programs. Our office provides support and oversight for all of Penn State's international engagements. Global Programs manages education abroad programs; hosts international students and scholars; and facilitates the University's many international partnerships around the world.
Our mandate is to vigorously promote Penn State's vision of becoming a truly global university -- the Global Penn State. Global Programs encourages all members of the Penn State community to incorporate global perspectives in their work, studies, and activities. Therefore, we offer a comprehensive range of international and intercultural educational opportunities for University faculty, staff, and students alike.
Global Programs is comprised of the Office of the Vice Provost and three directorates - Education Abroad (DEA), International Student & Scholar Advising (DISSA), and Global Operations and Intercultural Learning with the director of each reporting to the Vice Provost for Global Programs. The Vice Provost also oversees Faculty & Campus Engagement as well as initiatives such as the university's Strategic Partnerships. Together, we serve over 3,000 students who study abroad each year; more than 9,000 international students enrolled at Penn State; and the faculty who support them all. Please contact us or visit our offices on 4th floor, Boucke Building to find out how we can help you on your path to becoming a global citizen.
